Robin Rafkin

Hello.  I am Robin Rafkin, Secretary of the Board for Sierra Blanca
Christian Academy, and parent volunteer coordinator for SBCA.  We have been
involved with SBCA as a family since its inception 8 years ago.

I grew up a product of the public education system and never thought twice
about private education.  However, once I became a parent, I began to
question some of the public school principles and ideals, and felt that for
the most part, public education institutions had simply become a daycare.  I
felt the need for a strong, Christian based education system that encouraged
learning, love, and growth, yet allowed the children to learn, discuss and
grow in God and religion.  The curriculum at SBCA is challenging, yet
rewarding.  The children are polite, respectful, and happy to be at school.
I couldn't ask for a greater opportunity than to serve on the Board and help
facilitate the continual growth of SBCA.
