KATHY KEARNS
I was born in Oakland, California but spent my childhood and teenage years in Alamogordo. I attended New Mexico Highlands University, where I met and married my husband, Tom. We have spent many years in different facets of ministry, including Christian schools. Altogether I have taught for sixteen years in kindergarten through third grade. My husband and I have two grown sons, two lovely daughters-in-law, and three precious grandchildren.
The Lord recently opened a door of ministry in Ruidoso for my husband after serving for eight years in Los Alamos. During part of that time I taught at a Christian school in Santa Fe. We are enjoying the mountains once again, and are thankful for the kindness of the people we have met so far.
It is my desire and burden to see young people grow as true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and to take their places in serving Him. In these challenging days, it seems that one of the best ways to facilitate that is through the ministry of Christian schools. In this way students may be prepared for life spiritually as well as academically.
